I painted three large 1m x 1m paintings during the first pandemic lock down of 2020 at the same time as creating the palm series
I describe some of the feelings around making these paintings here in a blog post drafted during May.
This painting is called ‘Sending love’ – it is an original acrylic on canvas and it is a response to what I feel was needed most in the world at this time or any other time for that matter. The original is not for sale but you can buy a fabulous giclee print on archival or deep edged canvas here
Gratitude’ – again an original acrylic on canvas measuring 1m x 1m this is another emotional response to the feeelings of gratitude to the many people who worked so hard and continue to do so for all of us during this difficult time. The original is not for sale. prints are unfortunately not available as I did a paint over of this image. it happens!
Palm of hope
The third large painting made during this period is a palm tree. This image for me exudes optimism, a feeling that we were all seeking st this time of huge uncertainty. I feel that art does this for us all and the palm with it’s swaying beauty and connotations of holiday mood symbolises hope for better times ahead. Original SOLD but prints are available here
