The Inspiration:

The original acrylic painting that I have had reproduced as a giclee print is inspired by Frida Kahlo who has become something of an icon since her death in 1954. The print shows Frida with her eyes closed, possibly sleeping or possibly simply in deep thought, surrounded by imaginary flowers. We all know that Frida painted her life, she was absolutely her own muse and her hugely symbolic paintings reflected her emotions, her life and her relationships. In this homage to her inspirational tenacity I am placing her in an imaginary garden filled with colour and beauty in a personal celebration of her legacy.

The original painting was created by building up layers of vibrant colours using a variety of mark making tools.

About the print:

The ‘Frida Kahlo and flowers’ print measures A3 with the image centred and a white border surround and is signed on the bottom right hand side with with the words ‘Frida Kahlo and flowers’ hand written in pencil across the centre of the border. The prints are made onto good quality watercolour paper using archival inks that are guaranteed to last for years without fading.

The print is unframed.

How your print will be packaged:

Your print will arrive packed into a cellophane bag for protection and carefully placed into a cardboard reinforced envelope. I post in the UK using tracked postage.
